Garlean (preferred) name: Theodorus Galeo

Theo is a tower of a woman prepared for siege, with the broad shoulders and trunk of those who have spent many an hour swinging around a heavy weapon. Some likely clock her as a soldier by her behavior in crowds and enclosed spaces.      Polite in gesture and typically speech, with an absent sort of kindness, there is still something irreverent about her — might it stem from the detachment that induces her to slouch on occasion? Maybe it's the curl of her lip at someone's braggadocio, or the restlessness in her hands when left to idle.      Whatever the case, something is off, and not just that social graces didn't take all the way: she doesn't restrain her tongue when pushed, and although Theo is clearly reluctant to start a fight, she's eager to end it as swiftly as possible.

shadows keep on changing

Regula's Lapdog: VIth grunts may recall a bastard magitek pilot whom van Hydrus mentored in the field; considered more undeserving than most of his charity cases — she, a magistrate's disowned child. Some rumors were bandied about as to why she wasn't on the Gration when it left for Eorzea. Indeed, she was rarely seen by anyone until the Eorzean Alliance chirugeons began de-tempering Garleans, Theo amongst their number.         A Pauper's Call: Retired from active service, now a delegate for Manus Manum Lavat†, Theo is most often in Ishgard and Ul'dah, courting nobles and merchants alike at balls and guild faires. On a personal note she's caught the attention of less reputable purses, and she's yet to decide if those gains outweigh the risks.
†A Populares venture, meant to help orphans or otherwise at-risk youth while strengthening international ties
Shore Leave: Relatedly, Theo has also been introduced to many a former pirate in Limsa Lominsa. While she doesn't seem keen on sailing, it's quite the port in a storm, and she often retreats here to take a break from rubbing shoulders with the rich.

thanks for reading

I like and prefer to stick to realism and adhere to lore, but I'm also open to bend lore and truncate events for ease/time, or lightly go Rule of Cool for the aesthetic (iykyk).          LGBTQ+ & BIPoC welcome. Rest assured this is NOT a slur-slinging character looking for 1v1s outside the Quicksand, and I take concerns seriously.          I'm looking for wealthy contacts, and characters outside the beaten adventuring path (though not opposed to them) for plot development. I love heavy plots as much as one-offs! Long-term preferred but not required. In terms of do/don't, I'm okay with most anything with sensationalized assault (sexual or otherwise) my only immediate No.          If you want austere politicking with an Arthurian romantic (think tales) twist, sign me up; if you want medieval gothic with some tragicomedy, hello; if you want just a lighthearted, goofy time, I'm down to see if we can swing it; and if you want only one or even none of the above, just let me know.          21+, IC=/=OOC, PST! Always down to chat lorecrafting too.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

I will not be playing this character as an exercise in Fantasy Racism™, military fetishism, godmodding, or any sort of powerplay. Rather, she is an examination of militarized masculinity and generational trauma.      Understanding the reality of encountering a Garlean outside of Garlemald, I request that we discuss any violence beforehand. I don't mind playing "consequences" (especially outside a city), and this character is intentionally not "OP," but public assault needs a pretty good reason; this character doesn't come with such out of the box.
